Riders follow a mix of forest road and hillside trail, gaining height steadily until expansive views open out across the peaks and wind farms at Rhigos Top.
From here, the route links neatly into the Rhigos Road (Top) to Maerdy Road crossing, enabling onward travel toward Maerdy or connecting back toward Llanwonno. It’s a key stepping-stone for creating extended rides that link Rhondda, Cynon, and Taff valleys.
*Approximate time by horse. By bike will be quicker.
