A busy village on one of the Vale’s main thoroughfares, Wenvoe is a great spot to start out from, with multiple parking places and amenities, including the garden centre and its lovely café The Orange Tree.
You will set out from Wenvoe on a traffic free lane, joining onto lanes with some light traffic until you reach the left-hand turn onto a restricted byway. Climb the gentle slope and enjoy a relaxing and leisurely ride until you reach Wrinstone Farm.
Climb east over the ridge, you will come to the hamlet of Cwrt-Yr-Ala. This track is compressed gravel, allowing for a relaxing ride on the crest of the ridge, taking in long views over the Vale before descending down the other side under the shade of the many trees that line the path. The route provides a scenic introduction to the countryside of the Vale of Glamorgan.
*Approximate time by horse. By bike will be quicker.
