There is a free designated car park and picnic area in Llantrisant Forest, or you will find a small parking place at the other end of the route, leaving it as a personal preference of which direction you would like to enjoy the day’s ride; whether you want to use the distant tree line as a marker on the horizon, or as a gentle introduction when you set out.
The route is a refreshing wander across the rolling hills, guiding you under the spinning blades of the Graig Fatha Wind Farm, which is the first wind farm in the UK to be owned by consumers. It’s a straightforward, direct route that runs as close to a straight line as it can from start to end, allowing for a carefree ride taking in the spectacular views that reach out across the entire Vale of Glamorgan and beyond to the Bristol Channel and Southwest England.
*Approximate time by horse. By bike will be quicker.
