The route follows a mixture of open moorland track and forest edge, with firm surfaces suitable for MTB, gravel bikes, and horseriding.
It’s an ideal link between the Cwm Hwnt to Rhigos Top trail and the Llanwonno to Maerdy Road section, allowing riders to create longer loops or point-to-point valley-to-ridge adventures. Exposed weather is common at this altitude, so riders should be prepared.
*Approximate time by horse. By bike will be quicker.
