The surfaces are generally compact and rideable all year, making this a reliable link between the Barry Sidings to Llanwonno climb and the higher-level trails around Rhigos.
It’s a useful connector for riders planning a full valley traverse, linking key Great Glamorgan Way sections into a continuous ride. With long, open stretches and occasional viewpoints, it’s a rewarding way to move between the upland and mid-valley landscapes.
